New Year, New Vision? — What Kind of Country Do You Want to See?
Hosted by Crossing Party Lines: Atlanta, GA
Details
Many people are thinking about the future—what they hope will change, what they fear may unfold, and what kind of country they want to help shape. As we begin a new year, it’s an opportunity to reflect on the future we envision and what we believe could move the nation closer to that vision.
At this meeting, we’ll explore our hopes, concerns, values, and priorities for the country’s future, and consider how each of us imagines a healthier, stronger, or more connected United States.
We’ll ask questions such as:
- What do you hope the country will look like in the future?
- What changes or progress feel most important to you?
- What top priorities do you believe would help move the nation in that direction?
- How do hope and prediction differ for you? Does one feel more realistic or more motivating?
- Do you find yourself having more hopes or more fears about the country’s future? Why?
- What actions—big or small—do you feel you can take to help create a better future?
This will be an opportunity to share our hopes, reflect on what matters most to us, and listen to how others envision the future of the country.
Please do your best to arrive at the beginning of the meeting – once we are in breakout rooms and the conversations have started, the meeting doors close to new arrivals. The breakout rooms open (and the doors close) approximately 15 minutes after the hour.
