How To Raise Money Without Giving Away Equity

The LEOcrowd event is happening tonight! The event is almost at full capacity with over 160 signups so please ensure that you register via the eventbrite link below to secure your place!

LEOcrowd is more than just another crowdfunding platform, it is a community devoted to bringing creative ideas and start-up businesses to life. This event is for anyone who has ever been interested in raising money without giving away equity. LEOcrowd is rewards based, but are planning an equity platform for next year. This event will also help demystify the differences between the two when looking to raise funding.

There will be two main speakers who will make the event informative and inspirational:

Dan Andersson: founder of LEO and an excellent public speaker.

Mark Earls: aka Herdmiester, a much sought after event speaker on crowdfunding, will talk on how to use the power of the CROWD in business. He is a pioneering and award-winning writer and consultant on marketing, communications and behaviour change. He has written a number of highly influential books and articles like HERD and I’ll Have What She’s Having which apply insights from contemporary behavioural science to modern business and behaviour change challenges. There will also be a chance to speak to some of the project creators behind the campaigns that have been successfully backed and look at a number of new projects on the platform. These have been confirmed to be:

ART WARS - London based curator Ben Moore who successfully raised the funds to display his painted Stormtrooper helmets at a local gallery.

SMOOVE - Scarlet and her team are developing a range of healthy and delicious vegan shakes. Samples will be available.

THE BLOCK - Donna Taylor successfully raised £7520 for her challenging documentary about working class/low income earning families in the UK.

Free one-to-one consultancy will also be available on the night to help you bring your business to life.
