This meetup is focused on local AI’s both from a technical perspective but also linguistically speaking. Meet the two speakers that facilitate this:

Simon is a Software Engineer who has been working in AI since before it was cool. He helps companies adopt agentic capabilities to build products radically faster. He presents a way that AI can be used to preserve a language forever, potentially reversing its death.

Iona has a background in teaching and translation, and is the founder of local edtech startup, Verbivore. She presents the limitations and creativity in producing tooling for low-resource languages.
