​Matt first started learning computer programming when he was 10 years old specifically so he could make his own computer games. Since then he has been an avid gamer, game developer, and technology enthusiast. Matt completed degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Brandeis University in 2005 and went on to work for various large and small companies in the digital games industry. Matt first learned about Bitcoin in 2012 and began mining it at the time, but it wasn't until 2017 that the importance of the technology really clicked and at that time Matt went all-in on Bitcoin in addition to starting to explore more of the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. In 2018 Matt launched Splinterlands, one of the earliest blockchain-based games, and he is still leading that project today.
