Dr. Houston worked in Emergency Departments all over the country for almost 10 years. During that time, she observed firsthand the harm this current system does to both physicians and patients. These experiences afforded her a deep understanding of the problems that plague the United States healthcare system, barriers we face to correction, and the importance of a decentralized solution. Having been a part of the blockchain and distributed ledger technology community since 2012, she is now a nationally requested speaker and author on the topic of self-sovereign identity in healthcare.
