Rock Hall Overnight Cruise July 7-8
THIS POSTING IS NOW OPEN FOR RSVP'ing The CSA skippers are planning a cruise to Rock Hall on the Eastern Shore. Each year this has been a great hit with all the members. The skippers will stay overnight at Rock Hall Landing Marina which has a pool, motel and shower facilities. The Waterman's Restaurant next door has a fantastic menu for dinner, and live music on Sat. night. It is also an easy walk into town for an ice cream cone at Durding's ice cream store, or take one of the marina's free bicycles for touring the area. Skippers will be departing their marinas on Saturday morning and returning by Sunday evening. Crew will meet at their Skipper's marina on Sat morning. If you want to let skippers know of your desire to go on this cruise, please RSVP now. The marina slip fees will be split among the crew on each boat. Also, there is a motel associated with the marina (Mariners Motel), so this will allow for additional crew who cannot stay on board the boats, due to limited berth space. All crew who need to stay at the motel must work out the motel arrangements among themselves and split the cost accordingly. Your skipper will let you know the names and contact information of the other crew that need to stay at the motel. We have had a good response from the skippers, and expect several boats to join this cruise; however, we don't know the exact number of boats available yet, so the number of RSVP's is unlimited. A balanced crew will be chosen by each Skipper and will consist of new club members, those who haven't cruised in a while and those with sailing and/or cruising experience. Since the CSA does not "assign" crew to boats, it's important for skippers and crew to attend as many social events as possible to get acquainted with each other. We schedule Happy Hours/dinners and crab feasts throughout the year for socializing. Please check the Meetup site frequently so you don't miss out!

    What we're about

The Chesapeake Sailing Association was founded as a singles sailing club more than 30 years ago to bring skippers and crew together to enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay.

Over the years, we have evolved into a group of those who enjoy getting together for all kinds of events, both nautical and social, mostly around the Chesapeake Bay but sometimes beyond!

We have sailing and power-boat events hosted by boat-owning members and also now include a variety of other events such as occasional day trips on commercial cruise boats on the Chesapeake, as well as Happy Hours/Dinners at waterfront restaurants.

We encourage all members to host events that may be of interest to others who like being on or by the water!
