LGBT+ Book Club - February
Details
Join us to discuss our book club pick Joey and the Ocean of Possibilities by local author!! Mike Jakubowski (description below)!
**This novel is a stand-alone sequel to a previous book. If you would like to read the previous book, before reading this one, please feel free to do so and tell us how it is!**
We’ll start with introductions, then discuss the book (what we liked, didn’t like, etc). We’ll wrap it up by discussing thoughts for our next months book pick.
Here’s a rough schedule:
• 7:00-7:15 — Arrive, order something to eat / drink, informal introductions.
• 7:15-8:00 — Discussion
• 8:00-8:30 — Planning for next month / continued chatting.
In addition to discussing the book, my hope is that this group will connect people with similar interests to form a community of queer folks who love to read! If we get off-topic on a subject we all are interested in, that’s great! And you’re welcome to stay after to chat and mingle.

About Joey and the Ocean of Possibilities by Mike Jakubowski
A week before Joey is set to marry his fiancé Luca, he and his best friend Kris set off to celebrate his bachelor weekend. Joey and Kris return to the town of Beacon Point, the place they called home during their college years. Kris planned a weekend filled with beach adventures, hitting up old haunts, and celebrating with old friends.
Their plans are thwarted when Joey and Kris stumble into a shop and meet “The Woman,” who claims she has the ability to show Joey how any of his prior relationships could have turned out. Joey is soon thrust into the past, reliving former love and how different life could have been. Will Joey realize his life is better off with Luca, or will he be caught up in one of the what-ifs?
