Health 2.0 Connecticut Monthly MeetUp - Networking, Startup Presentations

We are very excited to be hosting our next Health 2.0 Connecticut MeetUp at the Stamford Innovation Center on Monday September 16, 2013. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from two local entrepreneurs about how their ideas leveraging new technology and transforming the future of health and wellness. Plus don't forget - lots of great networking.

Perfect for anyone interested in the future of health, wellness and technology including, entrepreneurs, developers, researchers, health and wellness professionals, investors and any one else with interest in Health 2.0. Some of the topics we will cover may include mobile health, patient-centered innovation, personal medicine, quantified self and emerging opportunities in the healthcare industry. Health 2.0 Connecticut is a hub for entrepreneurs, enterprises, organizations and investors to present opportunities, provide mentorship and engage in conversation with the extended community.

Presentations:

Dr. George Mathew is a practicing Physician and Entrepreneur will talk about CareProsper, a Personal Health Information business project to help people gather and collect their own personal health information (PHI), monetize it, and use the value to pay for their own healthcare.

Michael Queralt, CEO of Queralt, Inc will tell us about how Masonicare, a retirement and long term care facility in Wallingford is using a Health 2.0 service built on his companies Internet of Things platform to help improve resident safety and wellbeing. Queralt, Inc is part of the Connecticut Innovations ecosystem.

MedStartr.com is the leading healthcare crowdfunding site that has helped dozens of great new ideas in healthcare get found and funded faster. Grown from the Health 2.0 NYC meetup group, MedStartr has been running events and challenges that have brought together the crowd that cares to fund innovation that matters to Patients, Providers, Partners, and Institutions. MedStartr clients have garnered over 100 news stories, 90 partners, and 15 million dollars in funding online and off. Corporate clients running innovation programs on the site include GE, Sierra Wireless, and the US government.
