Monthly Meeting - Nine Days that Changed a Nation

Details
We are honored to welcome author and current minister at the Unitarian Society of New Haven, Rev. Stephen Kendrick, as our featured speaker this month.
The author of six books, he will be talking about his most recent: Nine Days: The Race to Save Martin Luther King Jr’s Life and Win the 1960 Election. Kendrick’s book details how presidential candidate John F. Kennedy broke with standard campaign silence and intervened in the aftermath of the October 1960 arrest of Martin Luther King Jr., revealing how courageous individual choices can lead to systemic change.
Rev. Kendrick brings over forty years of ministry experience to his work at USNH. His sermons are known for weaving historical insight with moral clarity, offering context, compassion, and hope.
Please join us for coffee and conversation at 6:30 p.m. followed by Rev. Stephen's reflections at 7:00 p.m. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

Every 3rd Monday of the month until December 26, 2026
