Monthly Meeting - the Water Crisis
Details
“Water whiplash”—the violent swing between floods and droughts—is testing our collective resilience. This triple‑feature looks at how climate science, history, and politics collide around the world’s most essential resource.
We travel from the American West to Mexico City to Iran, tracing sinking landscapes, strained aquifers, and the human choices that push them to the brink. Along the way, we meet communities adapting in surprising ways: rethinking agriculture, re-imagining infrastructure, and rediscovering ancient practices that once kept civilizations alive.
Across these stories runs a single thread: water reveals what we value and how we respond under pressure. These films invite us to look past the convenience of modern plumbing and confront the true cost—and true worth—of the resource we depend on most.
Join us for coffee and conversation at 6:30 PM. At 7:00 PM we'll show three short videos and then open the floor for discussion.
