Data Science User Group monthly meetup

For our March meetup, we are excited to welcome Mark Moran, Head of the John Deere Technology Innovation Center and Lead for Advanced Sensing in Deere's Emerging Tech group. Mark will be presenting a brief overview of technology in agriculture and a discussion on what precision ag is, followed by examples of how AI is used today to improve agriculture.

Speaker Bio: Mark Moran is the Head of the John Deere Technology Innovation Center and the Lead for Advanced Sensing in Deere's Emerging Tech group. Mark has spent over 25 years at Deere with roles at the data center, in the factory, with dealers, with suppliers, and with customers. In all of those roles he has been focused on the ability of Information & Communication Technology to disrupt and transform. Mark holds a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois, an MBA from the University of Iowa, and an SM in System Design & Management from MIT. In May, he will graduate with a PhD in Informatics from Illinois.
