Dear Cuddlers,
Andrew has stepped down from organising this meetup and from running Cuddle Workshops. After talking with Andrew, I am delighted to announce that the flame of Cuddle Work and consensual, non-sexual touch will be kept alive in Yorkshire.
I imagine that few of you know me, so here is something about myself. I am a long-time fan of Cuddle workshops. I was lucky to be there at their inception with Anna and James. You may know my work as Tantra North and from Sacred Light Tantra as I have been a student and teacher of tantra for 25 years. I also worked as a doctor both in orthodox and complementary medicine.
These days I am pretty much retired, but I love to host and teach body related personal growth practices. These include platonic touch, consent and healing touch- which is how I came across Cuddle work.
Although Andrew is no longer leading groups, he’s looking forward to joining as a participant.
I have been looking for ways to take this group forward and have come up with 2 types of meetings:
The first are Peer Group Cuddle sessions:
These are a direct follow on from Andrew’s work which follow the same principles as Cuddle work but they are not taught classes. They are informal sessions where people meet up in someone’s home to practice Cuddle Work. Who leads each exercise will depend on who turns up. The idea is that we share the leading of the session as well as hosting the venue.
Please don’t be put off if you don’t have confidence in leading anything, there will be people who can. However, there are some pre-requisites for attending.
Either
You have attended a Cuddle Workshop with Andrew or another teacher
Or
You have done sessions with me or Sacred Light Tantra. If you haven’t done any of these then please contact me, Helen Dziemidko, or via Meetup, before booking. This gives us an opportunity to see if these sessions are what you are looking for.
Cost is £7 pp – donation towards drinks, snacks and hosting.
First session Saturday 16th August 2025 1.30-17.00
Venue – Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire (details on booking)
Numbers are limited by host’s room size (between 6 and 8 people)
Places are allocated on receipt of payment. Payments are non-refundable.
The second kind of meetings are afternoon workshops:

These are at my home in Mytholmroyd West Yorkshire and places are limited.
They are open to all. Attendance of a workshop gains you access to the Peer Group meetings.
These workshops have been developed by myself and my friend and colleague Mark Sutton markdsutton.com. Mark, like myself, has a long career in teaching somatic based personal growth work. Mark has experience in tantra and biodynamics and currently offers private biodynamic breathwork trauma healing sessions.
We have refined our tantra and biodynamic practices to fit with the ethics of the Cuddle Workshops in that they are not sexually based, and all touch is consensual. This means that our work is suitable for all, whatever gender preference, sexual orientation or relationship status a person might be.
Our focus is specifically on your. In our experience your relationship with yourself and how this carries over to your relationship with others and with the world you live in is the most important work you can undertake to live, love and appreciate life more fully.
Each workshop is complete, though benefits accrue if you complete the series.
Our first workshop is coming up soon.
“Fast track relax” Sunday August 17th, 2025
We look forward to seeing you soon,
Best wishes Helen

Sunday August 17th, 2025 13.30-18.00
Mytholmdroyd, West Yorkshire (full details on booking)This workshop is designed as a fast-track route that cuts through life’s distractions to take you deep into the peace and pleasure of simple being you. This place is powerful and healing.
Meditation and mindfulness create the same result, but we have designed this session to take you there faster and deeper.
We feel this is essential for today’s world, where everyday life, even if not stressful can leave us feeling unfulfilled, unsettled and even jaded. We try to relieve this discomfort with habits, even addictions, that give us temporary but unsatisfactory pleasure. These are many - sweet treats, another coffee, doom scrolling, binge viewing as well as traditional addictions of alcohol and smoking. Some seem benign and all do seem to help, but they take you out of yourself in a way that can leave you feeling jaded and numb.
This session is an opportunity to discover relaxation in a profoundly different way. It brings you back to your deep self, your soul or heart, however you perceive this constant, loving part of yourself. It is renewing and inspiring. We will also be teaching take home tips so you can make this work part of your everyday life.
Our workshops fit with the ethics of the Cuddle Workshops in that they are not sexually based, and all touch is consensual. This means that our work is suitable for all, whatever gender preference, sexual orientation or relationship status a person might be.
