Mindfulness is non-judgmental awareness that arises by paying attention, in the moment with curiosity and kindness. It is making a conscious shift in perspectives from the narratives in the
mind to the direct experience of life in the here and now. It is an evidence-based practice, combining ancient contemplative wisdom and modern neuroscience.
When our attention is distracted or dispersed, we can get quite exhausted and stressed, and we may not see things clearly. By learning to settle the mind, using the resources we already have, experiencing and resting with the natural energy that is rising and flowing within us, we can focus and connect with attentive care. In today’s turbulent times, the practice of mindfulness can offer the gift of nourishing moments of natural presence, foster well-being, boost resilience to change, spur spontaneity, and enhance our capacity to experience natural joy and happiness.
