In India, the "Chaat Wala" is the heartbeat of the neighborhood. It’s where neighbors meet, where the air smells of roasted cumin and fresh coriander, and where every plate is made with a personal touch.

On March 14th, we are bringing that rhythm to Lille. One of our Indian Family is opening their heart and their traditional skills to recreate the authentic "stall" experience. This isn’t a sit-down formal dinner; it’s a living, breathing Indian street market tucked inside our home.

### The Experience

We’ve traded long tables for authentic stalls, allowing you to wander, taste, and talk. You’ll find the staples of Indian comfort:

  • The Crunch & The Spice: Hand-pressed Aloo Tikki and the iconic Vada Pav (the soul of Mumbai).
  • The Burst: Pani Puri and Dahi Puri, where every bite is an explosion of sweet, tangy, and spicy water.
  • The Workshop: Instead of just being served, you’ll step behind the "stall" for a Bhel Puri workshop. Our host will show you how to toss puffed rice, chutneys, and spices to find the perfect balance that suits your palate.

### Who is this for?

If you are far from home and miss the sound of a steel spoon hitting a plate, come eat. If you’ve never tasted real Indian street food and feel a bit shy about where to start, come learn. If you are in Lille and simply looking for a place where you can be yourself, there is a spot for you.

### The Details

  • When: Saturday, March 14th
  • Time: 14:00 PM

A Note on Belonging: At CKE, we don't care about "perfect" plating. We care about the stories told while the tamarind chutney is being poured. Whether you come with a friend or walk in alone, you’ll find that the "Street" has a way of making everyone feel like they belong.
