The story follows Basem, a Palestinian schoolteacher living in the occupied West Bank. He finds himself torn between his commitment to political resistance and his role as a father figure to one of his students, Adam. This is not a political manifesto — it’s a human story about responsibility, love, and the struggle to remain decent in the face of injustice.
Director Farah Nabulsi said she made this film ”to cope with the injustice I‘ve witnessed.“ It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and has received multiple international awards.
English subtitles will be provided.

《The Teacher》。
故事講述一位巴勒斯坦教師 Basem，喺佔領區嘅西岸生活，佢一方面要面對政治現實嘅壓力，另一方面要照顧佢嘅學生 Adam，成為一個父親般嘅存在。電影唔係政治宣言，而係一個關於 「人」 嘅故事——關於責任、關於愛、關於喺困境中仍然堅持做一個好人。
導演 Farah Nabulsi 話，佢拍呢部電影係為咗「應對佢所目睹嘅不公義」。呢部片曾於多倫多國際電影節首映，並獲得多項國際獎項肯定。
