Friday Night Live! - Nellie McKay

Join me for Friday Night Live! at the DIA. Admission to the museum is free for Oakland, Wayne and Macomb county residents. The performance starts at 7 in the Diego Rivera Court. Plan to arrive at 6:30 if you would like to sit with the group.

Nellie McKay has released a diverse collection of critically acclaimed albums, with songs that range from jazz to pop to the delightfully undefinable. Her current projects include her latest release, Hey Guys, Watch This—created with The Carpenter Ants and inspired by the soulful sounds of West Virginia—and her forthcoming album, The Get Away From Me Demos, on Omnivore Records.
She has won a Broadway Theatre World Award for her role as Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera, co-created and starred in the off-Broadway show Old Hats, and was most recently nominated for an Ovation Award for her performance in Ethan Coen’s A Play Is a Poem.
