Join the Fresh Pond Walking Community for our regular Sunday walk around Fresh Pond.

Let's join regular walkers from surrounding towns members of five other walking groups and 20 walkers for this walk. Walk is on, Rain or Shine.

Few things are more enjoyable than a nice walk and a chat at the end of a busy weekend.

Since May 2012, we've met with a few other meetup groups Let's join for a stroll in a beautiful setting. We walk clockwise, so if you get there late, just start walking counter-clockwise and you'll run into us.

Parking on Huron and Aberdeen Avenue is easy, since the "Permit Parking" rules don't apply on Sunday - just park in any spot on Huron Ave, there will be plenty of them.

If you're coming by bus, take the 71 or 73 bus from Harvard Square and get off at Aberdeen Ave. Walk all the way up Aberdeen until you come to Huron Avenue, we'll be there.

Dogs and children are welcome, not necessarily in that order. Dogs that are not licensed in Cambridge must be leashed.

Hi Folks,

We are moving this event from Friday night to Saturday afternoon because it is getting too cold and dark for nightime walks. We will meet at the Cambridgeside Galleria Fountain at 11AM, and start walking over to Northpoint Park at 11:15AM. We can stop at 11:40 to pick up any stragglers at the circle path in the park with the big rock, near the playground and the traffic circle. Then around 1PM we can get something to eat. We will meet at the Gazebo across the circular pond from the Mall entrance. The default walking route is down along the northside path of the canal, under the Edwin Land Rd. bridge and to the left along the west side of the Museum of Science Parking Lot, then a right on the Charles River Dam Road, and first left across thye road to Museum way and over to NorthPoint park on the right. We will stop at 11:45 to pick up any stragglers, at the circle path in the park with the big rock, near the playground and the traffic circle. I will send out my # before the event in case anyone comes later on, or just wants to have lunch.

The guidelines for the event are wear a mask, and stay minimum of 6 feet apart. Ask others if they are comfortable with the distance between you and them, and respect everyone's space. No one else is responsible for our safety except us and each others respect of social distancing. Attend at your own risk.

We can also talk about future ideas for events, walk sites, zooms, and potential outdoor concerts, etc. Feel free to make suggestions.
