Anselm Kiefer - Exhibition Tour
Location and Tickets on LUMA, Barcelona, Spain, Barcelona, ESWatching Anselm Kiefer talk about his work, I felt there aren't many artists like him left. He is never satisfied, never complacent, and yet so light, joyful, and self-aware. A creator in the spirit of the Renaissance.
At 81, after 60 years of work that has filled the world's great museums - from to the Met, the Pompidou, Venice Biennale to name a few - he is still creating as if he were just beginning. And now his work is here, at La Pedrera.
Kiefer is a philosopher as much as a painter. Myth, science, poetry, and history all become his material. The exhibition brings together nearly 70 works, including 23 of his famed vitrines, his 12-part constellation paintings, artist books, and photographs.

ARTFUL FRIDAY - Foto Colectania "Emancipations" - Exhibition Tour

Before we stopped trusting images, photography was a tool of liberation.
The collection show by Foto Colectania, marking its 25th anniversary, gathers rare Spanish and Portuguese photography from the final years of dictatorship through today.Displayed in vitrines, posters, books, and vintage prints, the show is curated by Florian Ebner, head of the Photography at Centre Pompidou. He dives into the 4,000-piece private Barcelona collection and brings out new constellations.
See the city's hidden epochs through the camera's eye, and end facing a startling contemporary work that erases its own subjects in real time by Estampa collective - leaving us with a quiet, unsettling question about what an image even is now.
