Foto Colectania "Emancipations" - Exhibition Tour
Location and Tickets on LUMA, Barcelona, Spain, Barcelona, ESBefore we stopped trusting images, photography was a tool of liberation.
The collection show by Foto Colectania, marking its 25th anniversary, gathers rare Spanish and Portuguese photography from the final years of dictatorship through today.Displayed in vitrines, posters, books, and vintage prints, the show is curated by Florian Ebner, head of the Photography at Centre Pompidou. He dives into the 4,000-piece private Barcelona collection and brings out new constellations.
See the city's hidden epochs through the camera's eye, and end facing a startling contemporary work that erases its own subjects in real time by Estampa collective - leaving us with a quiet, unsettling question about what an image even is now.
Let’s discover, ponder, and mingle.
Come for the images, stay for the conversation they spark 💫📅 Thursday, October 29
