Dog Hike!

This hike is for everyone who has dogs or loves dogs!

Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is a beautiful network of hiking trails and parkland, with a picturesque lake and Japanese water-lily garden, just off La Cienega Blvd, close to the edge of Culver City and LA.

There are 2 meeting/parking options depending on whether you want to car-pool or not:

Meeting/Parking Option 1 (Car-pooling option): From 9:45am to 9:55am, some of us will gather a few minutes drive from the park at 5959 Bowcroft St, Los Angeles, CA 90016 (please park on the street - not in the business parking lot). People can park here for free and then car-pool together to Kenneth Hahn Park and share the parking cost there of $6 CASH per car.

Meeting/Parking Option 2 (Meet in the park): From 10:00am to 10:10am, we'll gather at Kenneth Hahn Park inside the first parking area on the LEFT. (The park entrance is clearly signposted on La Cienega Blvd between Rodeo Rd and West Slauson Ave. Once inside the park, after you pass the parking payment booth, take your first left and you'll see us gathering there.) The parking fee here is $6 CASH per car.

Please try to be on time. We'll start walking at 10:10.

Fitness level: This is a fairly easy hike, but it will still be enough to get our hearts pumping and muscles toned. Hopefully we'll be having good conversations as we walk - our fitness goals will not outweigh our social ones!

Dogs: Dogs are allowed in this park if they're on leashes.

Weather: It's not very often that I need to cancel a hike due to bad weather, but if it is bad enough I'll post my decision here at 8:30am on the morning of the hike!

Water: It's a good idea to bring water to drink!

Duration: This hike lasts about 1 hour 15 minutes.
