Two gorgeous people, Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie ... er ...
The story is set in the Yorkshire moors and revolves around two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons, and their complex relationships with Heathcliff, an orphan adopted by Mr. Earnshaw. The story is narrated through the perspective of Mr. Lockwood and Nelly Dean, a housekeeper who recounts the history of Wuthering Heights and its inhabitants.
The novel begins with Mr. Lockwood renting Thrushcross Grange and visiting his landlord, Heathcliff, who lives at Wuthering Heights. Intrigued by Heathcliff's mysterious demeanor, Lockwood asks Nelly Dean to tell him the story of the household.
Nelly recounts the history of the Earnshaw family, focusing on the arrival of Heathcliff, who is brought home by Mr. Earnshaw. Heathcliff quickly forms a close bond with Catherine Earnshaw, but their relationship is strained by the jealousy of Hindley, Catherine's brother. After Mr. Earnshaw's death, Hindley inherits Wuthering Heights and mistreats Heathcliff, reducing him to the status of a servant.
Catherine eventually marries Edgar Linton, a wealthy neighbor, which devastates Heathcliff. Consumed by rage and a desire for revenge, Heathcliff leaves Wuthering Heights for several years, only to return with wealth and a plan to exact vengeance on those who wronged him. His return sets off a chain of events that leads to suffering and tragedy for both families.
