The NYC blockchain space is overflowing with ideas that accelerate the adoption of distributed ledger technology. FOAM presents a NYC Showcase of local blockchain projects to bring a discussion series on the decentralized infrastructure of the future.
In this first event, we invited two companies pushing the frontier blockchain to solve problems ranging from fake news to payments without network connection to present alongside our work in Proof of Location. We will hear from:
MakerDAO – a project innovating stablecoins, collateral loans, and decentralized governance with a presentation by head of Business Development Ashleigh Schap
Livepeer - a decentralized video streaming protocol that empowers developers to build video enabled applications backed by scalable and cost efficient video streaming infrastructure by software engineer Angie Ramirez
Relevant - a social news reader that values quality over clicks with a presentation by founder Slava Balasanov
