For our next Curiosity Café, we’ll be heading to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston to watch Palestine Shorts: Transitions of the Body and Mind, part of the 20th annual Boston Palestine Film Festival.

Our Plan
We will meet inside the MFA and take it from there.
Afterward, we’ll find somewhere nearby to sit down, grab some food or drinks, and talk — sharing what we took away from the films, trying to understand each other’s perspectives, listening to one another, and exploring whatever caught our attention.
About the Films
This program brings together several short films exploring Palestinian lives through different stories and perspectives, touching on themes such as family, identity, separation, grief, and more.
One of the films, Kismet, is set here in Boston and follows a Palestinian immigrant mother awaiting a long-delayed reunion with her son.
Another film, Coyotes, follows a Palestinian surgeon driving home late at night through the West Bank, where an ordinary journey gradually turns tense and uncertain.
All films include English subtitles.
The full program runs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Getting There
The MFA is located at 465 Huntington Avenue, Boston.
Green Line:
Take the Green Line E branch to Museum of Fine Arts. The stop is right by the museum.
Orange Line / Commuter Rail:
Take either to Ruggles Station, then a 5 min walk to the MFA.
Bus:
The 39 bus stops along Huntington Avenue near the museum. Routes 8, 19, 47, and CT2 also stop nearby.
Parking
The MFA has three official parking options:
- Museum Road Garage
- Huntington Lot
- Fenway Lot
All three are accessed from Museum Road. The Huntington Lot is the closest to the museum’s main Huntington Avenue entrance.
Current non-member parking rates are approximately:
- Up to 1 hour: $12
- 1–2 hours: $24
- 2–5 hours: $32
- 5–6 hours: $36
MFA members receive discounted parking. Since the screening itself is two hours and we may stay afterward for food and conversation, expect the 2–5 hour rate if you park at the museum.
