What we’re about
Hi everybody, I’m Mia. I love arts and culture, I love exploring London, and I love doing it in the company of old friends and soon-to-be new friends.
So this group visits gallery and museum exhibitions, and performing arts events. But we’re interested in culture of all kinds, so we also like to experience architecture, design, craft, public art, street art, film, music, literature and spoken word.
All of our events have a strong social aspect, so we usually combine art with food and drink, and all the other good stuff that actually make life worth living!
Oh, and we hate rain, so we’ve had a word with a friend in a very high place to make sure we never get wet on our outdoor events. Actually, we’re just going to switch to an indoor event if the weather’s rubbish, but the result’s the same.
If all that sounds good to you, do come along and say hello. Let’s do some interesting things together!

See all- Cinema: Mona Lisa (1986)The Garden Cinema, Greater London£2.00
This screening on Wednesday 16 July will be introduced by John Wischmeyer (City Lit). Part of the Noir International season.
"The brilliant breakthrough film by writer-director Neil Jordan journeys into the dark heart of the London underworld to weave a gripping, noir-infused love story. Bob Hoskins received a multitude of honors - including an Oscar nomination - for his touchingly vulnerable, not-so-tough-guy portrayal of George, recently released from prison and hired by a sinister mob boss (Michael Caine) to chauffeur call girl Simone (Cathy Tyson, in a celebrated performance) between high-paying clients. George’s fascination with the elegant, enigmatic Simone leads him on a dangerous quest through the city’s underbelly, where love is a weakness to be exploited and betrayed. Jordan’s colorful dialogue and eye for evocatively surreal details lend a dreamlike sheen to Mona Lisa, an unconventionally romantic tale of damaged people searching for tenderness in an unforgiving world."
