We can all agree that one can party like the Brazilians! We may not be able to bring the carnival to you from Rio, but we can give you a pretty good taster of all they have to offer: the hot samba rythms, the sensual forro and lambada, the fun axe; it will all be part of our brazilian dance festival. You will be able to watch and try capoeira (Brazilian martial art), participate in massage workshops and massage exchange, see some cabaret and most of all dance dance dance!!!!
And don't worry if you think you have two left feet or simply never tried it before. After the intensive weekend of workshops you will be able to impress any partenr on the dance floor! In the year of Brazil, it may simply be time to take up dancing!
Forró Fest UK, is the UK’s only Brazilian dance camping festival and it ill be held in a convenient location at Hop Farm near Paddock wood, just 40 mins from London Bridge. 3 days of camping in nature, dancing all day and partying in the evenings..!
The festival brings Brazilian teachers, bands and performers together over the Bank holiday weekend in August, hosting beginners and advanced workshops from Samba and Maracatu to Capoeira and Dança-Afro.
Price: Early bird discount of £75 is available until the end of June. In July you will still be able to get a late saver discount and pay £80. In August you will have to pay the full price of £85.

Food: There are cheap stalls and a bar, you can buy everything there so no need to cook. There'll be plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to eat too, and the Hop Farm has its own cafe with nice hot food too.
The main focus of the festival is Forró, a close partner dance born in the northeast of Brazil, with traditional folkloric music played with an Accordion, triangle and drum.

Getting there:
Train: there is a train from London Bridge to Paddock Wood at 14:19, getting in at 14:58. Return single ticket is £17.10, but 30% group discount is available if you travel together. From Paddock Wood it is a short taxi ride - it should only cost a couple of quid each. (if possible we will arrange lifts instead)
Car: It is an easy drive - one hour from central London.

Cancellations:
Please note that unless the trip is cancelled the payments are non-refundable as the costs need to be paid in advance. Please note that in order to keep the costs low, the trips are set up in such a way that they can be fully managed online. The descriptions are very detailed and try to answer all your questions and you will find additional information in pages section of the website. I'm afraid we will not be able to get back to you if your query is answered above as with over 60 events coming almost 4,000 members and current volume of emails, this would require hiring admin support and setting up a call centre, which as you can imagine would increase the costs of the events considerably. Getting there and back:
If you are taking a taxi to our event, you try 'bounce' app. They are 40% cheaper than black cabs and if you use a referral code CURIOUS KAT you will be getting £10 credit straight away. Note that the code needs to be inserted at the moment of signing up, just after registering the bank card.
