Discussion
For the discussion, we’ll divide in smaller groups of around 5 as to have a more intimate environment to facilitate conversations where everyone can feel welcome to participate at their pace.

Book of the Month

In the last chapter of Think Again we encounter active vs passive learning - few things can be truly learned if not by practice.

With the Science of Storytelling we have observed how hard it is to change and later on we explored how in order to change, we must think again. Now, I’d like to put our scientist hat on and explore this into practice. How easy is it to change and think again?

Let’s put this to the test with Atomic Habits by James Clear. If you have already read it, I suggest you instead read Hello Habits by Fumio Sasaki - a minimalist take on building a meaningful life through habits.

Perhaps some of you may have read it already - Yet a book on habits is not so much of a read (and be done with), it’s more of a “doing”, and in this latter department - who’s good at “doing the doing?!

We can read books, check the list, grow our ego and be done with it - yet a book is not so much valuable for reading alone - the key question is, what are you going to do with it? How is this book shaping the future you?

I’d like to challenge a little doing on this occasion - it’s summer (almost), the sun is shining, new prospects are coming up, it’s a perfect time to get started with a little change, a nudge, a little routine or habit that sets you closer to where you are going. Where is this and what will you be doing? That is up to you.

Setting a habit of reading more? Meditation? Cooking homely meals, spending more quality time with your friends & loved ones, making time for your partner - whatever it is that you’d like to be a tiny bit better at.

How easy is it to change? How to do this?

  • Get started with the book
  • Take notes on what could work for you
  • Record your current habit
  • What would you like to do more of?
  • Set a routine, a little challenge, a timeframe - is it for a week? For the month?
  • Practice, reroute, and share your journey. Hear what others are doing.
  • Note: It’s SO GOD DAMN difficult to change.
  • Repeat.

About Us

Welcome to "Curious Collective" – A Non-Fiction Book Club for Curious Minds.

If you find yourself here, chance is, you are curious. You are a wanderer, an explorer of ideas, seeking the 'whys' and 'hows' of our world, of what makes us human.

In a culture dominated by “hyper-connectivity”, we often lose sight of what truly matters; the treasure of ancient wisdom, the beauty of curiosity, and the profound meaning of community.

The Curious Collective is here to rekindle those flames. 🔥

We believe in the power of shared ideas, meaningful conversations, and sharing the journey.

As Joseph Addison wisely said, "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." Our collective mission is to exercise our minds, curiosity, and sense of belonging to a community of like-minded people.

We are not: Intellectual W*nkers. We keep it real, there is no intellectual snobbery here.

We are: Ordinary humans, who crave knowledge, connection, someone to chat about cool ideas and share the journey with.

How does it work?

One book will be selected, in one month. You pick the medium and the pace. We then meet to discuss ideas, share insights, learn, and share stories.

What are the books and how are they selected?

This is a Non-Fiction book club.

We curate our book selection based on recommendations from leading thinkers, authors, and accomplished individuals.
Here’s the current book list: https://shorturl.at/euLRU (will be updated very soon!)

What genre of books will be selected?

A wide net of topics: Psychology, History, Self-Development ( nothing wuwu), Philosophy, Creativity, Storytelling, Design, Innovation, Health, Wellbeing and so on.

Tips:
I suggest having a notebook/ a place where you can take notes of the most interesting parts & thoughts you had - this is going to be very helpful for the discussion.

Stay Curious – for there's always more to discover.
