What we’re about
We meet once a month online via Zoom (and sometimes in person!) to discuss current affairs and expand our horizons. We believe that the best way to stay informed is to read often, read widely, and engage with curious, driven people. We read a wide variety of materials, from novels (like Americanah and Exit West) to memoirs (like Educated and Hillbilly Elegy) to non-fiction to selections of articles. And we cover a wide variety of topics - from specific moments in history (like the Osage murders and the birth of the FBI) or to wide-reaching policy issues (like immigration and housing policy) and much more. All are welcome. We strive to create an inclusive community and value feedback on how we can do better. We're excited to meet you and hope you'll join us soon!
