Automating Privacy Compliance
About 7 years ago, Todd Gardner presented the concepts behind a product that became TrackJS for tracking JavaScript, Network and Console errors in a simple and effective way.
In my new role at CBS Interactive, we recently had several weeks of meetings discussing how labor intensive some privacy operations are for the company and the different website properties we manage. After working with vendors and finding no solutions, I mentioned a product I am developing for my Master’s thesis.
A few days later I was asked: “what do you need to have this done?” What started as a theoretical exercise, was now becoming a requirement for ensuring compliance standards for 12,000 different sites.
Though still in the early development and proof-of-concept phase, this presentation will go over the product my thesis is describing, how it addresses several problems CBS is facing, and the Data Science behind one of its features. Most components will be free and open source.
