Back at it — we're finishing the job at Moores Creek.

Saturday was a big day on the Monticello Road corridor, and we're coming back Sunday morning to finish what we started. Here's why the short notice: the Rivanna Conservation Alliance secured us a roll-off dumpster on site, and it's there now. That's the whole reason this is possible — no hauling, no staging, no wondering where the heavy stuff goes. It walks out of the floodplain and straight into the container. We'd rather use it than lose it.

Our focus is the remaining material right along Moores Creek — the stuff sitting closest to the water, where the next high flow carries it downstream. This is the last of it, and it's the part that matters most. Moores Creek runs to the Rivanna and on to the James, so what's on that bank is already halfway to the Chesapeake. What we pull out Sunday morning never gets there.

⚠️ Creekside work is adults only. There's hazardous material in that area, so anyone under 18 will work the lot with a parent or guardian — there's plenty to do up top, and it's a real part of the job.

🚗 Parking has changed — do not use Saturday's parking area. Drive past the U-Haul building to the landscape company's lot, where the roll-off dumpster is. Look for the Cville Litter Pickers sign. CLP organizers will be on site to direct you if you need it. Please do not park in the Aces or U-Haul lots — parking there puts our site access at risk for everyone.

We provide all the equipment — grabbers, bags, gloves, and safety vests. Bring clothes you don't mind getting dirty, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and water.

Thanks again to the Rivanna Conservation Alliance for the site access and the dumpster. Come help us close this one out.
