Hello Shad0ws! We hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and were able to enjoy it with your close friends and family. I know it feels like it has been an eternity since we have all met up, but don't worry the wait is almost over!
If there has been one topic that seems to always catch everyone's attention it has to be Capture The Flag (CTF). So we figured, what better than to host an event that is all about CTF!? For many, the thought of a competitive game that involves using numerous tools, solving problems, and hacking all while pressed for time can be scary. Have no fear, Shad0w Synd1cate is here to help shed some light on the world of Cyber CTFs!
This event is aimed to help provide some further information regarding what a Cyber CTF is and what you can expect. It is meant to be a higher level discussion to help you get your feet wet and hopefully make them less daunting and easier to approach! Below is a list of some of the questions we will be answering:
- What is a Cyber CTF?
- What can I expect?
- What tools should I use?
- Do you have any good resources?
And of course, what is a Shad0w Synd1cate presentation without a hands-on workshop?! We will have a little lab at the end to help you get your feet wet in using some of the tools discussed!
We hope to see you there! As always, don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
NOTE: Please stay tuned for an update on where you can download your lab material from!
