A self-described "passionate and motivated hacker," his expertise spans penetration testing, red teaming, physical intrusion, and social engineering. Beyond his technical skills, Alexei thrives in collaborative environments. He has served as a team lead, educator, and public speaker, fostering knowledge sharing and building strong relationships within the security community. Their ultimate goal? Edward Farrell is the Founder of Mercury Information Security Systems and is a security consultant with 13 years experience in cyber security and 18 years in technology. As the director of one of Australia’s few remaining independent cyber security practices, Mercury, he has conducted or overseen the delivery of over 1000 security assessment activities and incident responses in the past 8 years. His professional highlights include lecturing at the Australian Defence Force Academy, being rated in the top 200 bug bounty hunters in 2015 and running an awesome team of security professionals.
Anisa Taj is an Offensive Security Engineer at NRMA and brings a wealth of information security experience to the table, with a strong foundation in vulnerability assessment (Nessus, Tenable, Qualys, Nmap) and a deep understanding of both Linux and Windows operating systems. Her expertise extends to network design and architecture, web application security (Acunetix, Fortify Webinspect, BurpSuite, Checkmarx, Snyk), web services testing (Postman) and DevSecOps (Jenkins). Beyond technical skills, Anisa possesses the strategic vision to build and implement information security programs from the ground up. Proven across diverse industries like retail, banking, insurance, and healthcare, her passion lies in securing applications and infrastructure to create robust and enduring security posture. As a team player with a knack for creative problem-solving, she's eager to contribute her "out-of-the-box" thinking to a forward-thinking organization.
