What we’re about
### Welcome to the Cybersecurity and AI Usergroup
Formerly known as the Cybersecurity Practitioner Meetup, our community has evolved to reflect the rapidly changing landscape of technology and security. With the growing influence of artificial intelligence across every layer of cybersecurity — from automated defense systems to AI-driven threats — it became clear that our conversations, learning, and collaboration needed to expand into this obvious and essential territory.
The Cybersecurity and AI Usergroup is an inclusive community for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts exploring the intersection of cybersecurity and AI. Our mission is to provide a platform where members can share knowledge, discuss practical challenges, and stay ahead of emerging developments in both domains.
Through monthly meetups, we feature presentations, workshops, and interactive sessions covering topics such as AI-powered threat detection, ethical AI use, security automation, and the new risks introduced by intelligent systems. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or just beginning your journey, you’ll find opportunities to learn, connect, and collaborate with others shaping the future of secure and intelligent technology.
Join us on the last Thursday of each month to expand your understanding, share insights, and contribute to a growing community dedicated to advancing cybersecurity and AI together.
The sessions are open to all and accessible to all.
We will try to record the events to maximize its reach.

AI agents are evolving rapidly — from conversational assistants to autonomous systems capable of planning, acting, and collaborating with minimal human supervision. As these agents take on more responsibility in our digital and physical worlds, the challenge shifts from what they can do to how we can control what they do.
Join us for an interactive session on Controlling Autonomous AI Agents: Safety, Alignment, and Oversight, where we’ll unpack the practical and ethical questions shaping this next phase of AI deployment.
Expect:
- Live demos of agent control frameworks and oversight dashboards
- Real-world techniques for sandboxing, guardrails, and value alignment
- **“Secure Vibe Coding”** — a practical approach to building AI agents with embedded security and contextual integrity
- Discussions bridging research, engineering, and policy — exploring how to keep autonomous AI safe, reliable, and aligned with human intent
This event brings together founders, engineers, security professionals, and policymakers to explore one of the most critical frontiers in AI governance.
