Cycling HACK 2024 Pitch Event
Details
Cycling HACK 2024 is an exciting hackathon that brings together cycling enthusiasts, hackers, developers, and creative thinkers to develop solutions with the aim of identifying innovative ideas to make cycling safer in Zürich!
Thank you to everyone who attended our kick-off on Thursday 19th September at ETH. All of our partners and judges are so excited to see your ideas on the 26th.
We have set our hackers an ambitious challenge:
How might we use technology to address the increase in (e)Bike accidents and encourage safe adoption of cycling in Zürich?
At this event, all registered teams will have the opportunity to present their concept in a two-minute elevator pitch. If you have not already registered your team, please do so before Tuesday the 24th at register.cyclinghack.ch
Our judges will score each presentation based on Potential Impact, User Experience, Scalability, Creativity, and Presentation Skills.
The top five teams (as decided by the Judges during the Pitch event) will be invited back on stage for a ten minute deeper presentation and Q&A session with the judges.
The top five teams will be invited to an exclusive event at the Swiss Cycling House at the Chiffon Restuarant on Friday 27th September, where the winner will be revealed.
A few reminders:
- You must register your team on register.cyclinghack.ch to get a chance to present
- We are not only looking for coded / technical solution! You are just as welcome to present an innovative concept or idea that tackles the problem space
- You have the option to present using a PowerPoint slides - but it is not mandatory
- You are welcome to join this event if you would like to spectate the ideas - you don't have to be part of a hacking team! We also ask that all team members register on this invite so we can track numbers.

The Prizes
The winning team will receive an exclusive money-can’t-buy package of prizes including:
- 4 fan experience tickets to Zurich 2024 UCI Road and Para-Cycling Road World Championships for 27th to 28th September
- 4 person velodrome cycling experience at Grenchen Tissot Velodrome
- 4 signed cycling jerseys signed by the Swiss Cycling national cycling team
- Publication and media awareness for example on partner websites
- Introduction to the Recruiting Team at Eviden AG for roles such as Software Developer or Project Manager
