What is Cycling Hack 2025?
Cycling Hack is an annual event dedicated to fostering innovative solutions to enhance cycling safety, sustainability, and accessibility across Switzerland. Participants from diverse backgrounds—including tech enthusiasts, urban planners, students, apprentices, and anyone passionate about promoting cycling—collaborate in a dynamic environment to address real-world cycling challenges. With events in Geneva and Zurich, Cycling Hack bridges regional strengths and nurtures projects with potential national impact.
Key Hackathon Information
Our Hackathon will take place around 2 main events one week apart:
Kick-Off Session: 5:00PM to 18:30PM on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025
During the Kick-Off Session, participants will form teams and receive guidance on the event structure and judging criteria. After the kick-off session, the teams then have one week to hack on their idea at their own location or collaborate with each other remotely.
Final Presentation: 4:30PM to 7:30PM on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025
Teams will present their solutions to our panel of judges during the pitch session. After a short deliberation, the event will conclude with an awards ceremony.

Who should attend?
Cycling enthusiasts, designers, developers, students, apprentices, policymakers, or anyone passionate about improving cycling safety and sustainability. No technical expertise is required—just creativity, motivation, and a willingness to collaborate.
What to bring?
Kick-Off Session (22 October 2025): Bring your enthusiasm! You can join with a pre-formed team or come alone and we’ll help you find teammates.
Final Presentation (29 October 2025): Prepare an elevator pitch (max 2 min) for the first round, and a detailed presentation (max 10 min) if selected for the final round. Ensure at least one team member brings a laptop and charger for your presentation.
