Wareham Station Spring Social Ride (Green / easy)

Details
Please aim to arrive for 10.15 to start very soon after. (The 10 am train from Bournemouth / Poole or the 9:48 from Weymouth should arrive for this start time)
This is an easy paced social ride suitable for those who want an easy reintroduction to cycling after a winter hiatus. The ride will start and finish at Wareham railway station. The largest section will follow the Sika Trail in Wareham forest on mainly gravel tracks. We will then return to Wareham station and for those who wish to, make an additional short loop into Wareham Quay for refreshments before returning to the train station once more. The ride will be most suitable for those looking for a gentle ride (leaving no one behind) over undulating terrain (Mainly gravel tracks with short stretches of road - Grade Green). We should cover the main section in Wareham forest in around 1.5 hours - the event will be longer when the Wareham Quay refreshments loop is included.
The terrain is not technical but in the spring we may well encounter mud and water on the trails, most bikes that are off-road ready will have no difficulty (Recommend 33C width off-road tyres or wider MTB tyres.)
Please ensure that you follow the club rule, all riders must wear a cycle helmet at all times, if you fail to have a cycle helmet then you will be asked to leave the meetup, this is for your own safety.
Please have your fully charged phone with you, and the leader's number stored in it (07428338110).
Please also bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump.
Please be aware of the weather forecast and be dressed / prepared accordingly.
For others who like me will be travelling by road there is usually plenty of free on road parking in Sandford Road (BH20 4JJ) and it is just a short roll down the hill to Wareham Station.
