New Forest Dragons

New Forest dragons" primarily refer to the local legend of the Bisterne Dragon, a fearsome beast terrorizing villages like Bisterne and Burley, slain by Sir Maurice de Berkeley, with its death creating Bolton's Bench near Lyndhurst, a famous New Forest landmark. The legend features a knight and his dogs fighting the dragon, which demanded milk, leading to a fierce battle and the knight's eventual demise at the spot where the dragon fell, now marked by yew trees.

And yes we willl see the last known Dragon on this ride.

Meet 10am then to set off soon after.

This is an easy ride nothing technical, This is virtually all wide gravel tracks.

This route is about 16 miles and should take about 1.5 hours including a couple of planned stops.
