What we’re about
We are a group of individuals committed to raising money for Candlelighters through training and riding the "Ride for a Child" in September.
Ride for a Child is a unique program associated with Cycle Oregon, a cycling event in Oregon. Participants in Ride for a Child are assigned to a team dedicated to one child who is fighting cancer. This program provides additional support and benefits for riders, including a private massage team, a hospitality tent with snacks and beverages, and a nightly laundry service. Additionally, riders can bring a cot or air mattress, and their gear is hauled by a support team, allowing for more space and flexibility. The program also includes a "ride-out" with the children and their families, providing a heartwarming experience and a chance to meet new people. For first-time riders, Candlelighters, the non-profit organization behind Ride for a Child, covers the cost of Cycle Oregon registration if the rider commits to raising $2,500 for Candlelighters.
