AVS & Friends partner with the City of Bowie for our 6th Annual Cycling Event:
Juneteenth & Fathers Day Ride

When: June 20th, 2026
Meetup Beginning at: 815am
Rollout: 9:00am
Where: Allen Pond/Mitchellville Fields
Routes will be updated shortly. 2 Routes available and joining us as ride marshals will be the City of Bowie, Chief of Police Dwayne Preston and our partners John Hartsfield (DAT FWP Crew) & DJ Battle

SAG INFORMATION:
This IS a SAG supported Ride.
Please bring $7 exact change or CashApp $ZOAROO.
The SAG phone numbers will be given at the pre-ride briefing.

Why do we have SAG?
Zoaroo SAG will help you ride on or get you and your bikes back to your vehicles in case you have mechanical problems; medical issues; feeling fatigued, or if you biked off more than you can do.
Zoaroo also comes along the route with us cautioning motorists to beware of cyclists.

1. Safety first

  1. **Bicyclists who participate on any AVS hosted or partner supported rides are required to wear a properly fastened helmet.
**

  2. **Bicyclists may not ride more than two (2) abreast and may not impede traffic.
**

  3. Bicyclists must come to a complete stop at all stop signs and traffic lights displaying a red signal.

5. Bicyclists are expected to have their bikes in proper working order.

4. Bicyclists are expected to ride with repair equipment in the event for flat tire, etc.

7. Bicyclists should bring adequate nutrition to include enough hydration and snacks.

5. **At night, bicycles must be equipped with a front white light and a rear red reflector or red light visible, both visible from 600 feet away.
