What we’re about

As our world become increasingly complex, dynamic and uncertain, leaders and managers at all levels need to learn how to make sense of messy situations in order to take effective action. The purpose of this group to build a community of practitioners interested in the exploration and application of sense-making frameworks (e.g. Cynefin framework) and complex adaptive system theory.

The Cynefin framework helps people see things from new viewpoints and sense which context they are in so that they can not only make better decisions but also avoid the problems that arise when their preferred approach may not fit with the situation at hand (i.e. situational leadership). In addition to Cynefin, we plan to discuss other topics related to complex adaptive systems such as Human Systems Dynamics (HSD), sense-making, Teal, Responsive, Liberating Structures, Agile, and adaptive action.

If you would like to learn more about Cynefin and complex adaptive systems, or if you are just curious, please join us. For more information on the Cynefin framework watch this video with Dave Snowden
