Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books is a satirical novel about a small Georgia town, Troy, where a woman named Lula Dean spearheads a book-banning crusade. To promote what she considers "wholesome" reading, Lula creates a little free library in her front yard filled with appropriate books. Her adversary's daughter secretly swaps out these books, replacing them with banned literature hidden inside the wholesome books' covers. As the townspeople start borrowing the swapped books, they experience unexpected, life-altering changes that challenge the community's rigid norms
