How to Design Your Own VPN
In my talk, I'll demonstrate how to design a custom protocol when traditional VPN tools are blocked, detected, or unreliable. I will cover scenarios where you don't necessarily need a VPN, explore the differences between userspace and kernel-space tooling, and guide you through the process of creating your own VPN. The session will even include a live (or so) demo featuring a micro-CTF and is highly relevant for security networking experts and individuals in countries with restricted internet access or stringent VPN laws.
Adrian Castelo & George Patsias | Offensive Security Engineers, Red Team | Exness
Weaponizing Chrome Extensions: Abusing the Browser for Persistence
Web browsers are a prime target for attackers, and malicious Chrome extensions provide a powerful yet often-overlooked attack surface. This talk dives into how adversaries exploit browser extensions to achieve persistence, evade detection, and execute malicious actions such as data exfiltration, keylogging, and lateral movement. We will explore techniques to bypass security mechanisms and discuss strategies for detecting and mitigating these threats. Attendees will better understand the risks posed by weaponized extensions and learn best practices for securing the browser environment. The talk will be particularly useful for red team operators, penetration testers, application security specialists, incident responders, and SOC analysts.
Theo Hadjiyianni | Penetration Tester
Anonymity in Blockchain
Let’s explore the true level of anonymity in the Blockchain field and how individuals can maintain privacy when interacting with exchanges. Is the blockchain really anonymous? The talk will include an overview of basic Blockchain terminology, a detailed demo analyzing transactions, and a discussion of how exchanges trace transactions and wallet addresses back to criminals. We’ll also cover case studies to illustrate these processes and conclude with the best approaches to enhance personal operational security (opsec) in this space. This talk is designed for novice and advanced information security professionals, Blockchain enthusiasts, and people in Fintech with little to no understanding of Blockchain.
After the presentations, we organize a shisha lounge to chill and start insightful conversations with like-minded people. Join us, and let's enjoy a fantastic evening together!
