As we have a beautiful early autumn weekend ahead, I would love to invite you all to enjoy it with me - in the area that you have probably never heard of.
Away from the usual tourist routes and into a part of the country that is totally overlooked, yet incredibly beautiful, peaceful and largely untouched.
It has also been listed among the Dark Sky places of Czechia as there is no light pollution. I even found a point, from where (in good weather) you can see 360°, including Krušné hory, Brdy, Křivoklátsko, Hills around Beroun and even Šumava!

After I moved to Pilsen, and started exploring the surroundings, I have felt in love with this area.
It's a region north of Plzeň, where 3 counties merge (Pilsen, Ústí and Central Bohemian).

So make good use of one of the last sunny days, and someone (me 😂) who can show you place that you would hardly figured out by yourself.

I really struggled picking one route, which would be manageable for one day (there are so many in my mind!), but
Here is the approximate trail

But as always, I reserve the right to adjust the trail a bit depending on the group :-)

🚶‍♀️ Hike: around 20-23 km
⛰️ Difficulty: moderate - there are hills. No steep,
✨ Highlights

  • Authentic outlook tower of Kryry - from where you can even see Krušné hory
  • Tobiášův vrch lookout tower
  • ruin of the castle Petřšpurk and All Saints chapel
  • beautiful views

We can have late lunch in a restaurant in Jesenice.

PLEASE TAKE FOOD and MAINLY ENOUGH WATER with you for the whole day. This area is pretty secluded, we will end in a restaurant, but only at the end of the trip.
Bring your swimsuit, just in case ;-)

Estimated return back to Prague at 9 p.m, but we will discuss the options on the spot. Do NOT buy the ticket back in advance - You may want to see a bit of Plzeň with me, you may also go directly home - there is also a faster connection (around 2h) back to Prague from Jesenice.

🚂Book the train at 8:05 from Praha-Hlavní nádraží.

This time, I will not be in Prague to pick you up, but you will gather at Praha-Hlavní nádraží in front of the České dráhy office at 7:45, and take train at 8:05.
I wil pick you all in Plzeň - Hlavní nádraží, from where will all take a train together.
I will send my number later.

This event is free of charge (you just need money for bus tickets and train (around 450 CZK), but any contribution for organizing and to cover the subscription fees is more than welcome (consider how much time it takes me to organize something like this, how much you think the trip was worth, your financial possibilities etc.).

I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and showing you places, which even locals don't know about!

Jirka 🙏🤗
