D&D Drop-In Game for New & Experienced players

Come one, come all.
Have you seen Stranger Things or Community and said 'I'd like to give that a try one day'? Or maybe you're an experienced player who's looking to jump into a D&D Scarborough West event. New and experienced players and everyone inbetween are welcome for this event.
We'll be playing a classic D&D gothic adventure called Curse of Strahd, with a portion of the event dedicated to learning to make your character sheet.
Come eat, drink and be scardy with D&D Scarborough West :D
This is the second 'drop-in' event we've done and the first one was a blast. It worked well to have ~90min mini-sessions intermissioned with character creation. So if you come in part way through a session you can just hang out around the table until the next one begins (hoping to get a long table again)
Participant Requirements:
The venue has a $10 entry which each participant must pay. Paid to the venue, at the venue (not to me)
Participants must be legal drinking age (venue has coffee, alcohol and kitchen)
*All materials for playing the game (dice, pencil with eraser, character sheet) will be available for use.
This will be a simple and easy going game, no previous experience of dungeon & dragons required. Just looking to share some drinks, laughs, the love of the game, and run another event for anyone to participate in.
It will be a mix of playing, chilling and making characters.
The event is capped at 20 people for capacity reasons, but only ~6 participants will have their characters playing at any given time. One round of play is expected to take ~90min, and participants can stay round the table for as many rounds as you like or have time for.
