It turns out that Meetup and the Brecht Forum are too new an affiliation to be quite in sync yet.
Meetup allowed me to set this time/date, and actually CONFIRMED it to me - and I ALSO checked the BF calendar for open times. Regrettably, the BF already HAS an event at that time - that was not posted on the BF calendar.
So sadly, no screening this Sunday, I'll update you all when I get a firm date from the BF.

THREE great (FREE) films at the Brecht Forum - Sunday April 21 at 4:00 PM
Meetup.com and the Brecht Forum are being kind enough to allow us to screen three fantastic films on Sunday, 21 at 4:00 PM.
Admission is FREE, as this is a 'fair use' screening. The Brecht Forum is at 451 West Street, New York, NY 10014 (212) 242-4201
The three films are:
Climate Change Is Simple (remix) - David Roberts
This video is to promote general awareness of the science of climate change. It features David Roberts of Grist, and short clips from around the web. Edited by @ryanlcooper. Find more of my stuff at http://www.ryanlouiscooper.com . Find David at http://grist.org/author/david-roberts/ and @drgrist, and documentation on the talk at http://grist.org/climate-change/clima... (http://grist.org/climate-change/climate-change-is-simple-we-do-something-or-were-screwed/).
The Twin Sides Of the Fossil Fuel Coin - Guy McPherson
Award winning conservation biologist and professor emeritus Guy MacPherson visits GCC and delivers his presentation "The Twin Sides of the Fossil-Fuel Coin: Developing Durable Living Arrangements in Light of Climate Change and Energy Decline."
Fuel - Josh Tickell
Eleven years in the making, FUEL is the in-depth personal journey of filmmaker and eco-evangelist Josh Tickell, who takes us on a hip, fast-paced road trip into America’s dependence on foreign oil.
Combining a history lesson of the US auto and petroleum industries and interviews with a wide range of policy makers, educators, and activists such as Woody Harrelson, Sheryl Crow, Neil Young and Willie Nelson.
Animated by powerful graphics, FUEL looks into our future offering hope via a wide-range of renewable energy and bio-fuels. Winner of the Sundance Audience Award.
The events of Sept. 11 and Hurricane Katrina factor in both visually and thematically, providing provocative anchors for the movie’s indictment of what Tickell believes is the Big Oil-cozy, ecologically indifferent Bush administration.
Johnny O’Hara’s WGA Award-nominated script doesn’t dwell on muckraking, however; it’s more focused on broadly inspiring viewers than preaching to the converted.
