Domain-Driven Design, Event Sourcing and CQRS with F# and EventStore

Details
What: This presentation demonstrates a method for implementing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) using F# and EventStore. The described approach makes use of idiomatic functional constructs, especially where they bring value beyond the traditional object-oriented and procedural paradigms. The natural alignment between functional programming and event sourcing is exploited and implemented with Greg Young's EventStore. The goal is to question established object-oriented practices and provide a new perspective on DDD tactics.
About Lev Gorodinski: Originally from Latvia, I recently moved to New York to apply functional programming techniques in building a scalable ecommerce platform.. I blog athttp://gorodinski.com (http://gorodinski.com/) and tweet @eulerfx (http://twitter.com/eulerfx).

Where: B-Line Medical is located 2 blocks south of the Dupont Circle metro stop (red line). Exit on dupont south and the building is at the corner of 19th and N street NW. Driving is not encouraged as parking will be extremely difficult. The building needs a key card to get in after 6pm but Riccardo and Khiem will be hanging around outside to let people in. B-Line medical is on the first floor of the building right around the corner at the end of the hallway.
