Sweetwater Trail Brushing Sunday Aug 30
Details
Nesting season is over(!) and so we (FATRAC, Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship) are brushing a Sweetwater Trail with State Parks on Sun Aug 30. We decided to do Sunday so parents with kids can make their soccer, baseball, etc. games and others can still do their Saturday rides.
Start time would be 9am in the paved parking lot, northeast end of Sweetwater Trail.
Plan to work till around 1 pm.
What to bring: pants (not shorts), gloves, water, sturdy/close toed shoes, eye protection, ear protection, and a hard hat (if you have one - not mandatory). Be aware we will be working in poison oak. Therefore, avoid touching your face, eyes, or mouth before washing with Tecnu or another poison oak oil removal wash. If you have personal loppers or handsaws - bring them. Also bring food/snacks for yourself in case you get hungry.
