Happy Summer Vibes JavaScript Devs!
We hope you are enjoying Berlin's warm weather and we'd like to invite you all to join us for a Summer Special edition of FullStackJS at Erento (https://www.erento.com/)'s fantastic office. As always, please get in touch with us if there is anything you want to talk about or share; the event is nothing without your input and participation.
Topics:
Anything JS is welcome: React, ES6, Angular 2, Node, io, sockets, nodebots, programming a Samsung TV, web components, build tools, testing... or anything else! Surprise us!
Confirmed Talks / Speakers:
- Developing Full-Stack Microservices Applications with Node.js - by Armagan Amcalar (unu)
In this talk Armagan shows us how to build real-life, real-time, full-stack microservices applications and introduces an example e-commerce application.
- Hygiene and security of work with NPM - by Grzegorz Janik (https://twitter.com/gpjanik) (Erento (http://www.erento.com))
Greg will explain why it is worth it to be careful about how you work with NPM, what could go wrong, and why you should be paying attention.
- Special guests: The Bureaucrazy Team (https://www.facebook.com/BureaucrazyTeam/) will showcase their project - an app created by Syrian refugees in Berlin to help refugees, newcomers and migrants with their paperwork in Germany (in the press: The Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/aug/05/syrian-refugees-app-navigating-german-bureacracy-bureaucrazy), Netzpolitik.org (https://netzpolitik.org/2016/bureaucrazy-app-projekt-zum-zurechtfinden-im-deutschen-formulardschungel-sucht-unterstuetzung/), Phys.org (http://phys.org/news/2016-08-syrian-refugees-app-germany-bureaucracy.html), WeGoogleItForYou (https://www.google.de/search?q=bureaucrazy+team))
Ad-Hoc Lightning Talks / Show & Tell:
After the confirmed talks we'll open up the stage for some ad-hoc lightning talks and/or Show & Tell. This is a good time to showcase the work you do or experiments you're playing with. Perhaps your project manager doesn't appreciate all your wild ideas or the details of your achievements; but we do, so show us!
Rooftop Party:
We are lucky to be able to enjoy Erento (https://www.erento.com/)'s beautiful rooftop terrace for an after-talk party where we'll enjoy drinks, tunes DJ'd by Berlin's infamous Spät Shop Boys (a crew of JS Devs and UX genies), and some good dev discussions! Perfect for the good weather!

Food & Beverages:
Erento is kind enough to offer their sponsorship of the event, providing both food and drinks. There will be meat, vegetarian, and vegan options, as well as a special vegan dessert! As for beverages you'll find the usual assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices to quench your thirsts!
Erento GmbH
As noted, we are blessed with a fantastic sponsor this time, Erento GmbH. If you haven't heard of them, they are Europe's largest marketplace for rental items. Acquired by Russmedia, they are currently transforming into a technology first company. They now combine tons of domain experience, a modern organization and the best technologies available. They are also conveniently situated in the middle of Kreuzberg.
