Calling all journalists, designers, developers, engaged citizens, general data enthusiasts and all-round awesome people

We're liberating SA's data, and we need you to come help make history, by showcasing what could be done with open data.

If you need more convincing, there will be a bunch of prizes up for grabs as well as lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

How will this work?

Team up and work together to produce stories with social relevance, with at least one high-impact data visualisation, using one or more open datasets.

The stories will be judged based on whether the piece is relevant to the man on the street and how well the data visualisation works and supports the story.
