Reading Dynamics 365 & Power Platform User Group (Q1)
Details
Our first in-person meeting for this year will take place on Tuesday 5th March from 18:00 at Campus Reading. We look forward to seeing you there and encourage you to arrive from 6pm to meet other user group members!
Agenda as follows:
- 18:00 - Welcome!
- 18:30 - Suparna Banerjee (Cloud Solution Architect - Microsoft)
- Boost ALM with Power Platform Pipelines through integration with Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Power Platform Pipelines makes the life of citizen developers easier by providing a simple and easy to use interface for deploying the solutions from a source managed environment to a target one. It gets more powerful if we extend this to include source control integration. In this session, I will show how we can export and store Dataverse solutions into Azure DevOps and GitHub repositories during the deployment process using a Power Platform pipeline.
- 19:15 - Break & Pizza!
- 19:45 - Jason Murphy (Power Platform Developer - University of Surrey)
- Power Automate Advanced: Treat Flows like Functions!
- This session will provide a demo of how to split up complicated Power Automate cloud flows into smaller modular flows. We will use management columns in SharePoint / Dataverse to aid troubleshooting, restarting and fault finding and also review the use of child flows and varFlowObjects as further improvements.
- 20:30 - Close
