Presentation 1: Bridging the Gap: Introduction to Dual Write for D365CE Consultants (Speaker: Thomas Burnett)
Are you a D365 Customer Engagement consultant looking to expand your skillset into the world of connected ERP and CRM data? Join us for this introductory session on Dual Write, Microsoft’s out-of-the-box data integration framework that seamlessly syncs data between D365 Customer Engagement apps and D365 Finance and Operations apps in near real-time.
This session is designed specifically for CE consultants—both technical and functional—who have never worked with Dual Write. We'll demystify how it works, where it fits in the Microsoft ecosystem, and what value it brings to integrated business processes. Through real-world examples, live demos, and practical insights, you'll walk away with a clear understanding of how Dual Write empowers unified business operations and what you need to get started.
Whether you're a solution architect, functional consultant, or developer, this session will give you the foundational knowledge to start designing and supporting Dual Write implementations in your projects.
Presentation 2: The Family Reunion: Bringing Power BI into the Power Platform Fold (Speaker: Duncan Boyne)
This session will reposition Power BI as more than just the misunderstood, quirky relative of the Power Platform family. We'll show how it naturally integrates with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, busting myths and clearing up the common hurdles that leave many professionals feeling a bit left out.
We will cover demonstrating how Power BI’s analytics and visualizations complement familiar Power Platform tools and simplifying DAX and Power Query concepts by tying them back to what attendees already know. In a live demo we will also build an interactive dashboard using Dataverse for real-world impact.
In a nutshell, the session aims to empower professionals with practical insights while keeping things refreshingly light and engaging.
We strongly encourage you to arrive early to meet other user group members. We will be providing food and refreshments and you are welcome to stay afterwards for a chat!
We are always looking for people passionate about Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to present at our events. If you would like to speak at any of our future events please register here.
